Burgh House presents Sunday Sounds, our recital series showcasing emerging musicians.
Peihan Francesca He, aged 14, is currently studying under Dr. Robin Wilson, Professor at the Royal Academy of Music and the Yehudi Menuhin School. In 2025, Francesca won the Prizewinner Matinees in International Summer Academy of Mozarteum University.
In 2024, Francesca was awarded Third Prize in the Professional Children's Category at the Khachaturian International Youth Competition in Beijing, China. At the final round, she performed with the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Sergey Smbatyan at the Beijing Opera House.
In 2023, she performed with the Vienna Opera Ball Orchestra, conducted by Grammy nominated maestro Alastair Willis, at the Vienna Konzerthaus. This performance formed part of the Classicalia Global Televised Music Competition, broadcast on PBS TV. In 2022, Francesca was awarded First Prize at the Danubia Talents International Music Competition and the American Protégé Music Talent Competition. She also received First Prize and the Exceptional Young Talent Special Prize at both the Paris and London Grand Prize Virtuoso Competitions, as well as First Prize at the Fiorito International Music Competition. Her performances have taken her to renowned venues including Carnegie Hall, the Cité de la Musique – Philharmonie de Paris and the Royal Albert Hall.
Francesca plays a 1775 ‘ex Franz Ries’ Anselmo Bellosio violin and a Dominique Peccatte bow (c. 1860).
