Sunday Soul Session: Writing about Transition

May is a transitional time of year. In this Sunday Soul Session we'll be writing about transition in all its forms.
About this Event

Sunday Soul Sessions is our series of workshops for writers who want to delve deep into the big issues and reflect on what it means to be human in a changing world.

We think of the year as divided into four distinct seasons but in reality it isn't that neat and there are long periods of transition as winter becomes spring and spring becomes summer, when hail alternates with sunshine. Seasons of life are similarly indistinct and transitional phases can be some of the hardest to navigate. Characters in transition also make for interesting stories.

Through a series of open-ended prompts, we'll be writing about transition in all its forms and in whatever genre we're called to explore.

NB This event has been rescheduled from April

The Writers Workshop’s space in Orchard Square, Sheffield, has no step-free access but we're committed to accesibility and have partnered with a nearby venue to provide step-free access. If you need step-free access, please book a step-free ticket and we'll endeavour to change venues. (Please note, this is only possible up to 3 days before an event.)

The Writers Workshop is a nonprofit social enterprise on a mission to enable everyone to experience the joy and power of creative writing, both at our venue in Sheffield and online. Members of the Writers Workshop get a discount on all our events and other perks. For more information, visit .
