About this Event
Sunday Service at Praise House continues The Praise House Project’s Black History Month programming with a focus on care, beauty, and cultural practice.
This gathering features Courtney Brooks, curator and founder of Journey of a Black Girl, guiding a Hair Braiding Circle rooted in ancestral knowledge, intimacy, and collective care. Braiding is honored as a sacred practice—one that carries memory, lineage, storytelling, and healing through touch.
The afternoon also includes a creative offering and a guided historic tour of South-View Cemetery, grounding the experience in Atlanta’s African American history and remembrance.
All are welcome.
