Description: In Machining I students will learn the fundamental skills needed for the metal lathe by fabricating the first part of a machinist hammer. In Machining II students will learn the fundamental skills needed for the metal mill by fabricating the second part of a machinist hammer. In Machining III students will learn advanced skills needed for fabrication and finishing on the metal lathe and complete their machinist hammer.
This course Is a one-on-one 8 hour course. The ticket price Is $450.

About the Instructor:
Kyle Lucy is a wood and metal fabricator based in Atlanta, GA. He enjoys working with a variety of different techniques, from woodworking to machining to welding and fabrication.
Kyle has enjoyed working with my hands since he was a kid. He took his first woodworking and metalworking classes in high school where he gained a solid foundation. As a mechanical engineering student at Georgia Tech, he was able to further my skills in the Invention Studio. After graduating, he joined MASS Collective where he has been able to continue following his interests.

Q: What is the dress code?
A: Closed toed shoes, as well as long cotton pants and shirts are a must. For your own safety, no synthetic fabrics please. Gloves and eye protection will be provided.
Q: When do ticket sales end?
A: Ticket sales end two days before the event begins.
Q: How many people can sign up?
A: Each class has a maximum of 8 people.
Q: Is there an age requirement?
A: Students must be above the age of 11, Students under 18 will either need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian or will require additional permission paperwork.

Q: Is my registration/ticket transferable?
A: Yes, please notify us before ticket sales end about any transfer of purchase.
Q: What is the refund policy?
A: We will refund any ticket requested for any reason up to a week before the course runs, after that point we can only give credit to a future course. If the class cannot run as scheduled, for whatever reason, purchaser will have the option of a full refund or credit towards the makeup course.
