About this Event
Sunday Satsang is an opportunity for beginners in meditaiton or advance spiritual seekers to dive into an ancient meditaiton technique called the Hong Sau method taught directly by disciples of Paramhansa Yogananda. This practice opens the heart, and takes the practitioner through steps of guided practice for watching the breath which calms the mind and the body. The meditation is broken up into three parts - chanting and singing at the start to open the thoat and allow divine presence through the power of OM and devotional songs. Then energization, which includes light movement by either a few asana or postures, some light stretching to prepare the body for sitting, and drawing energy into the body. Then a guided practice for 30 minutes, and a stillness practice for 20 minutes. The ending of the meditation will conclude with Yogananda's healing technique of sending the Om vibration out to all corners of the universe through this ancient technique.
The results of this meditation will leave the practitioner with tools for reaching a more calm and peaceful state in daily life.
