Nan Shepherd was a twentieth century Scottish writer, teacher and hillwalker. Her book, ‘The Living Mountain’, explores a different way of mountaineering, turning away from hill racing and summit seeking, and towards a deeper relationship with the mountain. The Following Nan project empowers people to experience the mountains ‘Nan Style’. Project lead Jennifer McGowan will show us how Nan’s style supports inclusion, mental health and wellbeing benefits; helping us to slow down and connect. There will be our usual mix of singing great songs together with the house band, reflections, chats, tea and cake and community all in a non-religious setting. Let's celebrate this amazing life together.
