This time, we welcome Derico Alves and Forró Sapecado, a dynamic trio bringing the soul of northeastern Brazilian forró to Hungary, coming straight from Vienna.

Derico Alves is the leader and accordionist of Forró Sapecado. With 29 years of musical career, he has performed at over 50 festivals worldwide, including the Montreux Festival, Donauinsel Fest, and Brazilian Day in Portugal. His musical journey has taken him across Brazil, Europe, and South America, spreading the richness of Brazilian music. He has collaborated with Brazilian music legends like Sivuca, Moraes Moreira, and Dominguinhos, making him a key figure in preserving and innovating within the forró tradition.
Derico’s passion for music and Brazilian culture shines through in every note he plays, making his performances an immersive journey into the heart of forró.
✩ Forró Sapecado is a band that brings the essence of northeastern forró to Europe, with the mission of celebrating and reaffirming the Brazilian roots of this traditional musical genre. Their music blends tradition and innovation, creating a vibrant and authentic experience that makes everyone want to dance.
