Sun, Shade & Breath: A 6-week series on Bodywork for Self-Care

Facilitated by Holly Calica, come join us at the West Berkeley Family Wellness Center as we delve into the art of self-care through bodywork. In this 6-week series, you will learn techniques to relax, release tension, and restore balance in your body and mind. Our sessions will ground us in the beauty of how a raakau (wooden dowel, branch and/or driftwood) can assist us in addressing our body, mind, spirit and whispers from our ancestors. To gain the most benefit, each of the six sessions builds upon the last, with a focus on different body parts. Join us each week for an opportunity to focus on your full body self-care at home. Wear comfortable clothes, bring a yoga mat or towel, journal or notebook and an open mind and heart.
