Ever felt confused or unsure about how to practice Sun Salutations correctly in class? Or maybe you don’t feel confident in chaturanga or upward facing dog? Sun Salutations or Surya Namaskar are an important part of Vinyasa yoga, but often overlooked as a beautiful practice in their own right. Dating from the early 20th century, these practices are not just physical, but also embody the essence of meditation in movement.
This workshop will focus on how to practice the classic Surya Namaskar A & B, including synchronising movement with breath, posture and alignment. We will break down each pose and the transitions between poses, and also look at alternate options for both modifications and progressions.
A fun and energising workshop, to suit all levels of practice.
