This time, we’ll focus especially on:
movement, creativity, improvisation & body awareness.
We will accept:
• couples
• solo leaders
• solo followers
And we will keep the group balanced, so everyone can spend most of the time exploring the role they choose.
Because it’s summer, we want to approach tango in a more open and creative way.
Although we will still use structures, technique and biomechanical understanding, most of the classes will be dedicated to enriching our dance, discovering our own voice while dancing, and learning how to share it with the person in front of us.
We will work with:
• improvisation techniques
• body awareness
• internal space and sensory exploration
• connection and communication
• musicality and creative dynamics
The idea is not only to “learn steps”, but to expand the possibilities of how we move, listen, create and connect through tango.
About us:
We are full-time tango professionals from Argentina, currently based in Ljubljana.
Before moving to Europe, we both lived in Buenos Aires for more than 10 years (Gero for more than 20), deeply immersed in tango culture and its everyday life.
What we bring is not only an understanding of movement mechanics through our somatic studies (contemporary dance, Contact Improvisation, Feldenkrais, etc.), but also a lived relationship with tango itself.
Tango is part of our story, our culture, and our emotional landscape.
We grew up listening to tango at our grandparents’ homes, on the radio, in public transport… and later, as teenagers (both of us started dancing at 16), tango became our path.
Our approach to tango movement combines:
• understanding the geometry of movement
• awareness of self-organization
• biomechanics and transmission of forces
• musical interpretation
• improvisation and personal expression
