Samson in Dalila je najbolj izvajano glasbeno gledališko delo Camilla Saint Saënsa, v katerem se biblijska zgodba razkriva skozi bogato orkestrsko barvo, izrazite zborovske prizore in čustveno napete solistične dele. Koncertna oblika postavlja v ospredje glasbo, ki sama nosi celotno dramatično težo pripovedi. Samson and Delilah is Camille Saint Saëns’ most frequently performed stage work, where the biblical story unfolds through rich orchestral colour, powerful choral scenes, and emotionally charged solo passages. In concert form, the music itself becomes the core dramatic force. Under the direction of Charles Dutoit, the resident ensembles of the Ljubljana Festival present the work in its full sonic intensity.
