Rehearsals leading up to our concert on 4th July. Rehearsals are for 2 hours each Thursday evening 19.45 to 21.45, working on a variety of choral music by American composers from Bernstein (West Side Story), Barber (Sure on this Shining Night) and Barnwell (Wanting Memories) to Gershwin (Summertime) and Whitacre (Seal Lullaby) and Hiawatha's Wedding Feast by Samuel Coleridge-Taylor. Suitable for experienced singers familiar with using SATB scores. Online part learning help will be available for most pieces. Singers are welcome to attend up to four rehearsals for free before deciding whether to commit to the whole term (£40 subscription + £5 music hire). Our concert will be on the evening of Saturday 4th July, with an essential rehearsal during that afternoon with our professional orchestra and soloist.
