We've been looking for an opportunity to reboot the Skate Road Trip we had to call off earlier this year and what better opportunity than Wellington Pride. Come and join us on the Kāpiti Coast!We’ll be starting with a Roller Pride Parade along the Marine Parade Waterfront Pathway and then spending some quality time skating Maclean Skate Park.
Bring a picnic and/or enjoy a treat from one of the nearby cafes, ice cream, and takeaway shops.
We also invite you to bring your non skating whānau and friends with plenty of activities to enjoy in the area immediately surrounding the park, beach, playground, walks, space for throwing the Frisbee, etc
You'll need to bring your own Skateboards, Quad/Inline Skates and safety equipment, but get in touch if you're likely to need a ride and we can try to link you up with some carpooling. We're also big on Manaakitanga so there'll no doubt be some coffee and ice cream shouts going around, and kai in general to share.
Don't forget to bring your hats, sunscreen, waterbottles, Pride flags, and all your other rainbow themed accessories!
In case of rain or adverse weather, we have a postponement date of Sunday 16 March organised.
