Comedy on the Coast is back for 2025 and we're kicking off with a stellar line up. Headlining is the suburban Kiwi icon Patch Lambert. An award-winning comedian known for his sharp anecdotal gags delivered with a child-like infatuation with the world around him. Combing through life’s darker moments with unbridled effervescence and a knowing wink, he is at once relatable, endearing and utterly hilarious. A 2017 Billy T-Nominee, he has written for 7 Days, appeared on TV3's The Project and opened for international comedy legends such as Ed Byrne and Josh Wolf.
Supporting Patch are 4 of the best:
Nathan Bond: By day a disability advocate from Upper Hutt. By night a puns and one-liners officianado. You'll groan more than your partner before the laugh hits. In 2020 I was
nominated by the NZ Comedy Guild for breakthrough comedian, winner of the 2023 Too Punny award and the 2022 Wellington Roast Battle.
Therese Angland: A mainstay of the Manawatu comedy scene began performing comedy in 2019 and has rapidly aged since … about 12 months every year! Her Gen X-rated jokes will take you on a middle-aged meandering from beds and eggs to cubes and pubes.
Alex Neil: Continuously circling back in a mediocre sea of middle age corporate synergy, he probes the staples of married dad life like the inevitable proctologist he's dreading.
Marc Hamilton: Kapiti's own Raw Comedy Quest Finalist for central region in 2024 who knows what he's going to say all we can tell you is that it will be fast paced and very funny.
Your ringmaster for the evening will be Lorraine Hamilton. With her interesting and hilarious spin on life as an empty nester you wouldn't want anyone else to be MC.
A big shout out to our sponsors VF-The Kapiti Digital Agency, Wellington Exteriors and Cover Yours Insurance. Thanks for the support.
