The 2026 Summer Institute Retreat at Western Theological Seminary, under the theme “The Dreams of the Heart of God,” is a two-day bilingual gathering of pastors and ministry leaders focused on shared discernment, relationship building, and collaborative ministry. Building on conversations from previous years around intergenerational leadership, public witness, and the challenges facing our communities, the retreat invites participants to discern together how the Church is called to embody the Kingdom of God within contexts marked by both brokenness and hope. Led by Elizabeth Conde-Frazier and Danny Santiago, the Summer Institute is intentionally designed not as a traditional conference, but as a collaborative experience centered on prayer, worship, listening, mutual discernment, and shared leadership.
Through worship services, keynote reflections, regional panel discussions, contemplative practices, communal meals, and creative reflection spaces, participants will learn from and with one another as they discern faithful responses to the realities facing their churches and neighborhoods. The retreat seeks to foster ongoing collaboration beyond the gathering itself, deepening connections between local churches and the resources of the Hispanic Ministries Program and Lifelong Formation at WTS, and nurturing partnerships across denominations among churches committed to serving communities faithfully, collaboratively, and with Christ-centered hope.
The retreat will take place on:
Friday, June 5, 2026 | 4:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Saturday, June 6, 2026 | 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

___________
Sábado, 6 de junio de 2026 | 8:30 a. m. – 3:00 p. m.
