Summer Flowers Workshop at Crook Hall Gardens, Durham

In this relaxed, hands-on session, you’ll learn how to construct your own natural container using fresh foliage, layering and shaping it to create a beautifully organic base.

Once your structure is ready, you’ll fill it with a gorgeous selection of seasonal summer flowers, using plant-based Oasis Renewal Floral Foam to support your design. With step-by-step guidance, you’ll create an arrangement full of colour, texture, and that effortless “just gathered from the garden” feel.

Set within the stunning gardens of Crook Hall, this workshop is the perfect excuse to slow down, get creative, and enjoy a few mindful hours surrounded by flowers and nature.

You’ll head home with your own unique arrangement; ready to brighten your space and impress anyone who pops round!

No experience needed—just bring yourself and a love of flowers.

Our workshops at The Northern Flower Garden are always fun and supportive where I demonstrate professional floristry techniques, share the tips and tricks and we’ll keep the creativity flowing with crafted drinks and homemade bakes from the Crook Hall National Trust team.

Car parking charges apply at Crook Hall Gardens for non-National Trust members.

On arrival, please show proof of your workshop booking at the welcome buildings to gain free admission.

Can National Trust members please also have your membership card scanned as usual.

Access to Crook Hall Gardens is not step free, if you have any mobility concerns, please get in touch.

To help protect and conserve Crook Hall’s Gardens, all plant material that enters and leaves the site is bagged and sealed. Therefore we will ask you to also seal your designs in the bags we will provide as you leave.
