📽️ Beat the heat at the Briscoe with this year’s Summer Film Series! Explore Western movies based on popular novels on the third Sunday of June, July and August. Join us again in the beautiful, relaxing, and cool Jack Guenther Pavilion for this year’s sizzling selections. This summer, we dive into the pages of amazing literary works that were crafted into amazing cinema.Based on the 2016 novel by Paulette Jiles, "News of the World" is a 2020 American Western film co-written and directed by Paul Greengrass. Starring Tom Hanks and introducing Helena Zengel in her international film debut, the film follows an aging Civil War veteran who must return a young girl, taken in by the Kiowa and raised as one of them, to her last remaining family.
A short presentation begins at 1 PM, followed immediately by the screening. Each movie is included in general museum admission, with complimentary beer courtesy of Ranger Creek Brewery, wine, nonalcholic beverages, and movie snacks. 🍿🥤
