It's time to audition for the Hollins-Mill Mountain Summer Festival of New Works! The Playwright's Lab has taken on an exciting new structure this year and the Summer Festival will now include three staged readings of new plays and two workshop productions. Our workshop productions will feature professional guests, and our staged readings will continue to be cast from the Roanoke community!
As part of this new structure, all auditions this year will be done by video submission.
We know this is new, so we’re here to help!
We’re hosting a workshop on Saturday, May 30th from 2-4pm at MMT’s Waldron Stage (20 Church Ave SE Roanoke, VA 24011). At the workshop, we’ll teach you all about self-taping and even film your audition for you! We’ll share the final video for you to use for future opportunities. Please fill out the audition form below and email Gwyneth Strope ([email protected]) to sign up for the workshop!
Or, if you already feel comfortable with self-taping, you can record yourself performing a one-minute monologue (comedic or dramatic) and share the link to your submission through the audition form below! All auditions are due by June 1st.
