What: When A Loved One Dies By Suicide - a grief support group for those who have experienced suicide loss

When: A series of eight Mondays, beginning on September 22, from 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm
Where: Catholic Charities Waterloo Regional Office
Who: Facilitated by Julianne Klesel, LISW, Catholic Charities Therapist with more than 25 years working in the mental health field
Topics addressed include:
receiving solace, hope, and healing through the rich traditions and teachings of the Catholic Church
engaging in prayers of comfort and encouragement
sharing your story, if and when you are ready to do so
understanding the nature of psychological pain
exploring opportunities for growth and invitations to loving service
Who is this resource for?
Though this resource is intended primarily for those who have lost loved ones to suicide, others may find it helpful and informative. Suicide and mental health challenges impact countless communities, and we are all called to the ministry of accompaniment. Listening to stories of suicide loss can cultivate greater compassion within us and prepare us to encounter suffering with grace.
