About this Event
Sugar Dumplin - Film Screening & Live Panel | Scarborough
Scarborough Centre for Healthy Communities invites you to join us for a free screening of Sugar Dumplin, written and directed by Tristan Barroks. Sugar Dumplin is a heartfelt film focusing on a daughter's effort to reconnect with her estranged, dementia-stricken father through the nostalgic flavors of his Caribbean childhood, starring Jamaican comedy legend Oliver Samuels. This special event uses film as a vehicle to spark meaningful conversations about mental health, caregiver wellness, and dementia.
