About This EventChoosing the Right Type of Yarn when Substituting - You know we all do it!
The best way to become a more confident knitter or crocheter is to understand the different types of yarns available today. Once you know the basics, you will choose the right type of yarn every time. In this workshop we will cover choosing the right fibre; how to substitute yarn; determining your mystery yarn stash, and ways to mix yarns to achieve a completely new fabric.
This is a hands-on class where you will get to taste test various yarn and fibres; practice changing your yarns to create a successful project; swatch until you are happy; and experience the various colour tools available to help you create a completely new fabric. You will walk away with many guides to aid in your future decision making and a greater knowledge of fibres, yarns, and the fabrics that they create.
