The Student Ekphrastic Poetry Competition is presented by the Woodson Art Museum in collaboration with the Wisconsin Fellowship of Poets (WFoP). In Celebration of National Poetry Month, winning ekphrastic poems written by Wisconsin high school students are read aloud and displayed alongside the Museum collection artworks that inspired them. A Wisconsin Fellowship of Poets representative joins Amalia Wojciechowski, the Museum's assistant director and collections curator as well as contest juror, for thoughts in the written and visual artworks selected.
