The Marathon County Grilled Cheese competition is organized by the University of Wisconsin – Madison Division of Extension. The competition will be held on April 11th! Competitors will have 30 minutes to create one delicious grilled cheese sandwich from the ingredients provided.Registration is due to the Extension Marathon County office by April 3rd: 1100 Lake View Dr. Suite #500 Wausau, WI
Cost: $5 to help pay for supplies
Location: Lake View Conference Center (1000 Lake View Drive, use door 31 and park in Lot E) Michigan and Superior Rooms.
Individual Youth Competition:
• Young Adults 8 – 17
• Parents can serve as sous chef
• Cooking supplies included, no outside materials allowed
• Max of 6 Competitors
• Date/ Time: Saturday, April 11th at 10:00 am
• First and second place will be awarded
Team Youth Competition:
• Young Adults 8 – 17
• Teams of two youth
• Cooking supplies included, no outside materials allowed
• Max of 6 Competitors
• Date/ Time: Saturday, April 11th at 11:30 am
• First and second place will be awarded
First place winners will receive a cheese basket from Great Lakes Cheese with $50 worth of cheese.
Second place winners will receive a cheese basket from Marathon County Farm Bureau with $25 worth of cheese.
Competition is limited to the first twelve registered and paid competitors/ teams.
