About this Event
Looking for some easy weeknight dinner solutions with big flavours, balanced plant-based recipes and supermarket-friendly ingredients? We have the answer in Richard Makin, who will be joining us this summer for our Kitchen Stories series.
Richard is a vegan recipe developer, food writer and the blogger behind School Night Vegan. With a background in street food and a love of ambitious cooking, Richard writes a monthly vegan column for Olive magazine. He develops, writes and shoots recipes for his popular website and was voted “Best Vegan Blog” by Vegan Food and Living in 2020. He is Online Food Editor at Wicked Healthy and has developed plant‑based menus for restaurants and hotels across the UK.
Richard’s new book Stress‑Free Dinners is packed with everyday plant‑based meals designed for busy weeknights when energy is low. Perfect for anyone looking to eat well while cutting back on meat, it includes family favourites, solo suppers, freezer‑friendly meals, no‑cook options and dishes ready in under 25 minutes. Expect big flavours, balanced ingredients and standout recipes, plus a chapter of quick, flavour‑boosting “Dinner Dial Ups” and easy mid‑week desserts.
