Street Cricket for Safer Streets presented by North Perth Cricket Club.Playing street cricket is one of the great Australian traditions but is one that is being lost as the efficient movement and storage of cars is increasingly prioritised over the potential for local streets as places where children can safely play independently.
‘Street Cricket for Safer Streets’ is an open street community initiative as part of the Town Team Movement’s Streets Alive Program. The event aims to foster positive changes in attitudes and behaviours on safe speeds and to gain community insights into how we can better design our local streets to improve them as safe environments for children to play.
The North Perth Cricket Club invites the community to join us for a morning of street cricket games, family friendly activities and to share your views on streets as kid friendly places.
