October is typically for spooky and scary stories, right? Come to this month's storytelling showcase at Mechanics' Institute to hear different kinds of horror stories. The kind that happens backstage, during or before a production...Backstage Horror Stories!

Join us for this evening of laughter and storytelling with local author and host of "The Moth," Corey Rosen. Invited storytellers will include actors, designers, and directors from the worlds of film, television and theater. Come to listen and put your own name in the hat to tell your own behind-the-scenes horror story!

Mechanics' Institute Members Free; Public/Non-Members $10

Wine, beer, and soft beverages will be available for sale. Complimentary light snacks will be provided.

COREY ROSEN is a writer, actor, visual effects producer, and storytelling teacher based in San Francisco, California. He hosts The Moth StorySlams and GrandSlams, and has been featured on The Moth Radio Hour, Alice Radio’s “The Sarah and Vinnie Show,” and KFOG's "The Finch Files" Podcast. Corey is a performer at BATS Improv, one of the world’s foremost centers for Improvisational Theater and is the author of “Your Story, Well Told: Creative Strategies to Develop and Perform Stories that Wow an Audience.” For more information about Corey Rosen - visit: www.coreyrosen.com
