Documentary filmmakers:
Kitty Hu is a queer, Chinese documentary filmmaker and Advovacy and Talent Programs Manager at BGDM. She's also the co-founder of Shoes Off Media, an intergenerational, Asian women-led production company. Kitty’s work applies community-centered documentary tactics to amplify character-driven stories that reflect the work of our social movements. She recently directed L.A. Rebellion: A Cinematic Movement (PBS Artbound) and produced Taste the Nation (Hulu), Wild Hope (PBS), Take Out (HBO Max), America Outdoors (PBS). She is also a proud member of BGDM and A-Doc.
Yasmin Mawaz-Khan aka Yasi Mak is a storyteller, maker and interactive artist whose goal is to push creative boundaries through any medium. She’s shown interactive sculptures globally and locally with the Flaming Lotus Girls, video art at the YBCA, and a variety of screenings throughout the Bay Area and Los Angeles. She works as a commercial video and photo producer, while finishing up her first feature documentary Ace in the Hole, a film about how a quirky junkyard owner's life transforms as he helps San Francisco artists and makers achieve their dreams. https://www.yasimak.com/ | https://www.aceintheholefilm.com/

Stuart Swezey is the producer/director of the documentary “Desolation Center” chronicling his early career organizing events in the Mojave desert that captures a time when pushing the boundaries of music, art, and performance felt almost like an unspoken obligation. “Desolation Center” premiered at CPH:DOX and screened at Sheffield Doc/Fest in 2018 and was selected as “Best of Music 2019” by Byron Coley for ARTFORUM. Bill Daniel is a photographer, filmmaker, author, archivist, and the world's foremost authority on hobo graffiti. He is a Guggenheim Fellow and former San Francisco bicycle messenger. His work is in the collections of MoMA and Craig Baldwin.
