As our nation turns 250, we’re celebrating right here at home by sharing the stories that shaped West Milton. Throughout 2026, Stories on the Stillwater will highlight the people, faith, and courage that helped build our community.
This special event will focus on the Quakers of West Milton—a group whose strong beliefs in freedom, equality, and service played a vital role in our local history and in the fight for justice. Their legacy helped shape the character of our town and left a lasting mark on our nation.

Volunteer actors and storytellers will bring these powerful stories of faith, conviction, and community to life in an engaging and family-friendly way.
🎶 Following the storytelling, enjoy live music from the New Mountain Heritage Bluegrass Band, whose authentic sound and Appalachian roots perfectly complement the spirit of the evening.
