Join us on the lawn for a night of deep grooves, powerful rhythms, and high-energy funk with Slapbak! 🔥🎶Blending Funk, Hip Hop, and Rock influences, Slapbak delivers a live show packed with energy, musicianship, and heart. Led by multi-instrumentalist and producer Jara Harris, the band brings together a dynamic group of performers including Jaz Harris, Alyse Harris, TJ Quake, Gus Day, Jesse Conlee, and MaryLiz for a sound that keeps the crowd moving all night long.
Jara Harris has worked alongside artists including Michael Bublé, Snoop Dogg, Randy Jackson, The Time, and Devon Allman, while continuing to build Slapbak into an internationally recognized funk force. After overcoming a battle with stage 4 head and neck cancer, Jara’s return to the stage brings an even deeper sense of joy, resilience, and celebration to the music.
The evening will also feature opener THE GROOVE ESSENTIALS as part of the Projects Unlimited & Wyse Family Foundation Gem Series.
Bring your lawn chairs or blankets, grab dinner from local food trucks, and enjoy a free night of live music in downtown Dayton surrounded by community, connection, and funk-filled energy. Everyone is welcome on the lawn.
