About this Event
Led by Steve Power, chair of Heritage Watch and Merseyside Building Preservation Trust (MBPT), the tour will outline some of the key Heritage Buildings at Risk in the city centre and South Liverpool. It will include buildings that have been saved and repurposed such as the Florrie and many that are still very much at risk such as the Wellington Rooms. Steve will recount recent efforts to save some of these buildings, outline the challenges and opportunities in finding viable new uses for them and what plans Heritage Watch and MBPT have to work with partners to reduce the number of buildings on our ‘At Risk’ register.
A nonrefundable contribution of £10 per head is required to secure your place on this tour
NB Due to health and safety/ownership issues we are unable to include the interiors of any of the derelict buildings
Please arrive by 13:45 to register your attendance
Whilst this is a coach tour, expect to walk between certain sites.
The tour will start and finish in William Brown Street which is close to Lime Street station and Queen Square Bus station.
