About this Event
Stones, Axioms, and Poems: A Human-Machine Performance
Join us for an immersive, experimental evening where human artistry and machine intelligence collide to explore the boundaries of language, ritual, and performance.
"Stones, Axioms, and Poems" is part of an ongoing exploration of making kin with other forms of existence across the margins of language and meaning. Developed at the Human-Machine Improvisation Lab within the Department of Digital Arts and Experimental Media (DXARTS) at the University of Washington, Seattle, our methodology constructs the performative stage as a laboratory where human and non-human create a unique language that emerges from the gaps of translations, imagination, ritual, and symbiotic experimentation.
Through this live dialogue of translation and mis-translation, human and machine performers search for a way to narrate the world together, forging a shared experience that is an endless becoming, a question inhabited and unraveled live on stage.
