Together, we will journey through three deeply rooted practices:
TEA🍵🫖
We begin with the soothing and warming medicine of tea — an ancient ritual cultivated for over 6,000 years for its life-affirming and nourishing qualities.
Jordan has been serving tea and guiding ceremony for many years now, having studied with Tea Masters in China and makes an annual return to tea's land of origin to further his study and experience with this practice.
YOGA💠🧘🏼♂️
From tea, we move into the several thousand-year-old practice of Yoga.
The intention for the practice on this evening will be focused around building a strong and centred energy within ourselves while cultivating a sharp and direct mind, all in preparation to find stillness and move closer to the truth of the Inner Self. This will be achieved through asana, pranayama and meditation techniques.
The Yoga practice Josh will be offering will be simple and easy to follow. No prior experience of familiarity with Yoga is necessary. Come as you are, whether with 10 years of experience or fresh to the practice.
SOUND🪘🔔
Mitchell will be offering sound throughout the entire evening, throughout both Tea & Yoga.
As we then move from movement into stillness, the sound journey will become the main, all-compassing experience. You can expect to receive the healing vibrations of sound, allowing the body, mind and spirit to soften and settle into a state of coherence and relaxation.
Sound has long been used across cultures to calm the nervous system, release tension, restore energetic harmony and to connect oneself to the great mystery. This is achieved through initiating Alpha and Theta brain wave states, associated with neural regeneration, healing and enhanced memory, creativity and intuition. This sound journey dances through a dynamic range of instruments and weaves together ancient wisdom, modern science, musicality and the alchemy of healing to journey with the inner fire into a state of balance, peace and clarity.
We close with a final bowl of tea — a gentle return to the body and a grounding connection to presence.
