About this Event
Join us for a cozy evening of creativity and self-care!
Lumazen Yoga and STITCH AND DESTROY are partnering for a unique two-part workshop. Upcycle experts, STITCH AND DESTROY, will teach you how to sew your own custom yoga cushion, and then learn how to use it in a grounding, restorative yoga flow taught by Tima Ozen of Lumazen Yoga.
We’ll begin the workshop with a hands-on sewing session led by STITCH AND DESTROY, where you’ll create a functional and beautiful mini bolster cushion tailored to support your practice. Basic sewing machine knowledge is required, see below.
Once your cushion is ready, Tima Ozen will guide you through a beginner-friendly yoga class designed to showcase your new prop. You’ll explore restorative postures, supported stretches, and gentle grounding techniques, all enhanced by the cushion you made.
What’s Included:
- All sewing materials provided
- A warm, welcoming atmosphere
- Your own handmade yoga cushion + the know-how to use it
What to bring:
- Yoga mat
- Optional- small fabric scraps to fill your cushion
Come stitch, stretch, and settle in. You’ll leave not only with a new prop, but also with fresh ways to bring comfort and support into your future yoga practice.
While this is a beginner friendly workshop, we do request that you have some prior experience with machine sewing. If you have used a sewing machine before, know the basics of threading a machine, and how to sew a simple straight stitch, this workshop is perfect for you! However, we will still perform a quick run through on how to thread and operate our sewing machines. This workshop is open to folks 18+.
Space is limited in our studio- we are able to accommodate 6 attendees. Sign up now to secure your spot!
