Step into the vibrant sound world of the early 17th century with Música d’Outrora, presenting Still Life: Early Baroque Fantasy — a concert inspired by their acclaimed debut album. This programme explores the stylus phantasticus, a bold and imaginative style that flourished across Europe in the early Baroque. Music by Castello, Schmelzer, Stradella, Buxtehude, Fontana, Ferrabosco, Kapsberger and others is brought to life on period instruments, revealing a world of fantasy, contrast, and expressive freedom.
Performed in the intimate acoustic of the National Centre for Early Music, this concert offers a rare opportunity to hear this repertoire as it was conceived — vivid, spontaneous, and deeply expressive.
