FortyFive Vinyl Café is really excited to welcome back Ed Cosens for a headline show. Ed built up a strong following playing the café with Jeff Cohen and more recently supporting the Wandering Heart for their three night Christmas spectaculars. An acclaimed songwriter from Sheffield, U.K. His debut album 'Fortunes Favour' was released on 9th April 2021 and his sophomore album “Somewhere Between Dark and Light” was released on May 24th 2024 and is a highly acclaimed follow up.
A creative catalyst for almost 20 years as guitarist and songwriter in Reverend And The Makers and former bandmate of Arctic Monkeys’ Alex Turner and Matt Helders, Ed has now found his own captivating voice, singing his own beautifully crafted, emotionally resonant songs that tap into the human condition with the skill of a seasoned balladeer. It is this skill as a songwriter that is now being recognised and has led to him being invited to several international signwriting camps over the last couple of years across the world and he has written with the likes of Beth Nielson Chapman, Shelly Poole (Red Sky July), Graeme Pleeth, Ally Mcerlaine (Red Sky July/Texas), Jamie Lawson and James Walsh (Starsailor) and played alongside Kezia Gill, Judie Tzuke and Gabriel Rhodes to name a few. He has also played slots at festivals including at Black Deer, The Great Escape and Tramlines
