We are very excited to welcome Steven Rowley and Byron Lane to celebrate their books, The Guncle Abroad and Big Gay Wedding! They will appear in conversation with Blue Willow events Coordinator Cathy Berner and book reviewer and podcast host Cindy Burnett.
To celebrate, we are offering a 15% discount if you buy both of their books with your event entry!
There are THREE ticket options:
- Event entry with BOTH books at a 15% discount on the book cost
- Event entry with a copy of The Guncle Aboard ONLY
- Event entry with a copy of Big Gay Wedding ONLY
Please note that one ticket=one seat for this event.

Event Guidelines:
Each ticket includes entry to the event for one person and whichever book option you have selected. Each attendee will require a ticket — think of it as one ticket, one chair.
You will pick up your book(s) at the event. Steven and Byron will personalize books and take photos during the signing line at the conclusion of the event. If you attend with a group, there will be a group photo rather than individual ones. You may also bring 2 of their books from home to be signed (but NOT personalized).
If you are not feeling well and cannot attend, we will get your book signed for you.

About the authors:
Byron Lane is the author of A Star Is Bored, hailed by the New York Times Book Review as “wildly funny and irreverent.” He’s a playwright, screenwriter, Emmy Award–winning journalist, and former assistant to actress Carrie Fisher. He’s originally from New Orleans and lives in Palm Springs, California, with his husband, author Steven Rowley, and their rescue dogs, Raindrop and Shirley.
Steven Rowley is the New York Times bestselling author of Lily and the Octopus, a Washington Post Notable Book; The Editor, an NPR Best Book of the Year; The Guncle, winner of the twenty-second Thurber Prize for American Humor and Goodreads Choice Awards finalist for Novel of the Year; and The Celebrants, a Today Show Read with Jenna book club pick. His fiction has been translated into twenty languages. He resides in Palm Springs, California.
