Steve is known as an integral member of The Waterboys, joining in 1985 for the celebrated ‘This is The Sea’ album and went on to record on Most of their subsequent albums to date. Wickham is also a highly regarded session violinist and has recorded and performed with U2, Elvis Costello, Sinead O’Connor, Bob Dylan, Sharon Shannon and many other

War, playing on “Sunday Bloody Sunday” and “Drowning Man” in 1982.
Ray Coen hails from Drumiskabole, Ballisodare, County Sligo and has many years
experience as both a guitar and fiddle player. His first musical memory is singing
and dancing in the family kitchen. He got his first guitar at age 11, but didn’t tune
it until he was 13. Into his teens, he turned to electric guitar, playing Rock’n’Roll
and Heavy Metal with his first bands Bad Taste and China Red. Eventually the Sligo
traditional music scene started calling to him, and he started playing mandola,
banjo and fiddle.
Both Steve and Ray are founding members of Sligo Based world music group No Crows. The
‘Crows’ have made many recordings and continue to tour extensively.
