Walk to raise awareness for organ and tissue donation
About this Event
The third annual walk for DonateLife SA will take place on Sunday, 28 July 2024 this year at the Adelaide Riverbank Lawns, in front of the Adelaide Convention Centre.
The walk officially kicks off DonateLife Week 2024 in South Australia, which plays a vital role in encouraging more Australians to register to be and organ and tissue donor.
The Walk:
Attendees can participate in a short walk along the River Torrens. Feel free to walk or run with your family, friends or even your dog (on a leash) at your own pace. For those of you who have a loved one who gave the gift of life and would like to dedicate your walk to them we encourage you to bring along a photo or memento of that person on your walk/run.
Family Fun and VIPS on the day:
- Marcelo Carrusca, the legendary Argentine-Australian professional footballer renowned for his attacking midfield skills, will be leading a soccer skills clinic, providing an opportunity for attendees 5-15yrs to learn from the best.
- Adelaide United players will also be joining in.
- Mix103.2 will offers activities for young and old to promote DonateLife Week onsite.
- For the younger attendees and families, a face painter/henna tattooist will be on hand to create fun and colourful designs
- A cartoonist to sketch quick caricatures for participants.
Food and Drinks
There will be a range of refreshments available, including mobile food trucks and a coffee van will be on site to serve up your favourite hot beverage.
Note1: It is recommended participants bring their own water.
Note2: This is an environmentally aware event. Printed tickets are not required but please come and say hi at the merchandise table. A photographer will be out and about on the day.
