About this Event
Please join us for the K-12 Innovation Lab, sponsored by CME Group and The Lemelson Foundation on May 21 & 22 in Chicago, IL.
STEM-programs have incorporated developing not just core STEM competencies but also mindsets that can support continued learning and development. The theory behind this approach is that by including mindsets into the process of learning, students can develop a set of tools to help them solve problems, develop STEM identities, and persist in challenging fields of study. STEMconnector’s 2024 K-12 Innovation Lab will explore how different programs are cultivating mindsets to advance STEM outcomes and how these programs can support broader societal goals.
What to expect – Innovation Lab participants will engage in a presentation from STEMconnector about trends in the K-12 Education STEM space specifically focusing on employer partnerships and labor market trends.
Who should attend – This workshop presents an excellent opportunity for participants to engage deeply with each other and with insights around STEM K-12 pathways, particularly areas of partnership between employers and postsecondary institutions. It is appropriate for a wide variety of stakeholders across sectors.
