About this Event

What Parents Are Asking
  • How can my child build a strong STEM & Robotics DSA portfolio for schools like SST, SJI, NUS High and other top DSA secondary schools?
  • What skills do schools want to see in a successful DSA STEM & Robotics application?
  • How do I help my child prepare for the selection process and interviews?
  • What should a DSA portfolio include - and do you have examples or sample portfolios?
  • Where can I enrol my child in coding, robotics, and 3D printing classes in Novena?
  • Where can I find after-school STEM enrichment programmes for primary school children?
  • What are the best year end holiday coding and robotics camps in Singapore?

Why Attend Our Novena Campus Open House

At our Novena Campus Open House, you’ll discover how Empire Code’s STEM enrichment programmes, from coding and robotics to game design and 3D printing, not only support DSA portfolio preparation and interview readiness, but also nurture creativity, problem-solving, and future-ready skills for every child, whether or not they are applying through DSA.

What is DSA?

Direct School Admission (DSA) is a Ministry of Education programme that allows Primary 6 students to apply to secondary schools before the PSLE by showcasing their unique talents and achievements. Today, skills such as coding, robotics, and game development are increasingly recognised as ways to demonstrate innovation, logical thinking, and problem-solving - giving children an advantage in their applications.

What to Expect at Our Novena Campus Open House

For Students (Ages 4–12):
Register your child for free trial classes in coding, robotics, and game development, and let them explore exciting topics such as:

  • LEGO SPIKE Essentials (Ages 4-9)
  • LEGO SPIKE Prime (Ages 9-12)
  • Minecraft Coding & Game Design (Ages 8-12)
  • Micro:bit (Ages 8-12)
  • Roblox Coding (Ages 9-12)
  • Python Basics (Ages 11-12)
  • 3D Design with Tinkercad/Blender (Ages 7-12)

For Parents:

  • Learn how coding, robotics, and AI projects can strengthen portfolios and build confidence.
  • See how Empire Code supports students in their STEM DSA journey - from portfolio building and interview preparation to secondary school pathways and even international school admissions.
  • Join our FREE DSA Info Session to understand the application process, MOE prerequisites, interview prep, and proven portfolio-building strategies parents ask about most.
  • Meet our MOE-registered trainers who guide students in both school preparation and future careers.
  • Connect with other parents and tour our Novena campus while your child enjoys hands-on STEM experiences.

Q: Is this Open House only for DSA preparation?
A: Not at all! While we are recognised as a leading centre for STEM DSA preparation, the Open House also highlights our regular enrichment programmes in coding, robotics, and 3D printing for kids aged 4–12. Whether your child is exploring a new hobby or preparing for DSA, there’s something for every learner.

Q: Do you offer exclusive promotions for new students during the Open House?
A: Yes! Families who attend can enjoy special offers for new students, available only during the Open House. It’s a great way to save while letting your child discover the benefits of coding, robotics, and game design.

Q: Can my child try more than one programme?
A: Absolutely! You may register your child for multiple trial classes in different time slots so they can explore a variety of interests and find the right fit for their STEM learning journey.

Q: Do you offer personalised learning plans for kids in coding and robotics?

A: Absolutely. Every child learns differently, so our MOE-registered STEM instructors tailor lessons based on your child’s age, experience level, strengths, and learning pace. Whether your child is a complete beginner or already building advanced projects for their DSA portfolio, we customise the curriculum to help them progress confidently, from foundational coding to robotics engineering, 3D printing, game design and more.

Q: Can I enrol my child in a robotics competition training programme through your coding centre?

A: Yes. We offer specialised training for major competitions such as FIRST® LEGO® League (FLL), National Robotics Competition (NRC) and more. Our competition programmes focus on teamwork, coding fundamentals, robot design, engineering principles, and presentation skills, all essential for excelling on competition day. Kids train under experienced coaches and get hands-on practice with real challenging projects.
Q: Does your STEM education centre have classes that fit school schedules for kids?

A: Yes. Our class timetable is designed to work seamlessly around school hours. We offer weekday after-school slots (except Tuesdays), and weekend options so children can continue learning without disrupting their academic commitments. Parents can choose from flexible weekly schedules at both our Novena and River Valley campuses, making it easy for kids to attend coding, robotics or STEM lessons before or after school.
