About this Event
### โณ๐งช Steins;Gate - would you keep changing time to save one person?
Anime discussion night - main series focus.
Short summary
Steins;Gate begins like a slightly chaotic nerd comedy.
Then it turns into something much meaner and better.
That tonal shift is exactly why it deserves a room.
Underneath the jokes, the lab nonsense, and Okabe's performance-art persona, this is a story about grief, consequence, obsession, and what happens when knowledge turns into responsibility you can't put down.
It's funny until it isn't.
Then it gets brutal.
That's the version I want to talk about.
Not watch-order sludge.
Not gadget trivia.
Not a fandom room where everyone is trying to prove they understood the timeline first.
Just a sharp adult conversation about time travel, guilt, repetition, and what love starts costing once you know too much.
A few questions already sitting in my head
"At what point did the show stop feeling playful and start feeling heavy?"
"Is Okabe brave, delusional, or just carrying more than one person should?"
"How much suffering can one person absorb before saving people starts looking cruel?"
"Does the science matter because it's believable - or because it gives the emotions structure?"
"What scene hit hardest once the show turned?"
"Does Steins;Gate actually earn its ending?"
How the evening will go
We'll start with one question:
"What scene changed the whole temperature of the show for you?"
Then we'll stay close to the main series.
We can touch Steins;Gate 0 near the end if the room really wants to, but I don't want the night dissolving into sequel sprawl.
No lore-flexing.
No timeline superiority contests.
A real discussion.
