Emilie Croning
Emilie Croning is a curator, art historian, and writer. Her curatorial practice is grounded in creating space and advocating for emerging artists in a global context, and has held positions and collaborated with several galleries and organizations including the Art Gallery of Ontario, Wedge Curatorial Projects, Gallery 44, Gallery TPW, Nia Centre for the Arts, Toronto Biennial of Art, Capture and CONTACT Photography Festivals, Critical Distance Centre for Curators, Artist Project Toronto, among others.
In Fall 2025, Croning launched EMC Contemporary – a curatorial platform and nomadic gallery dedicated to community-building and artist advocacy. Working closely with galleries, institutions, and arts organizations in Canada and abroad as a forum for artists to engage in professional and creative development, EMC will provide opportunities and accessible resources to support and guide artists navigating the art world.
