A free and open-to-the-public event at the Mary Beth Nienhaus Community Meeting Room & Community First Credit Union Welcome Hall inside the Appleton Library where registered media, community members, donors, and survey participants, and the Fox Valley Literacy Board of Directors will gather as Fox Valley Literacy Leaders present the impressive and impactful State of Literacy Report.Through a generous grant to Fox Valley Literacy from the David L. and Rita E. Nelson Family Fund within the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region, the State of Literacy Project collected data from surveys and interviews conducted from April 2025 through August 2025, with 804 community members who see the impact of literacy challenges every day. Insights were gathered from schools, libraries, hospitals, employers, and organizations across Outagamie, Winnebago, Calumet, and Waupaca counties. The final State of Literacy Presentation & Report Reveal event shares the data and findings from these surveys to better understand how adults in our region navigate these challenges and how Fox Valley Literacy and our community partners can help prioritize literacy as a key to independence, confidence, and connection.
