About this Event

StartUp in a Day™ is a fast-moving, hands-on small business startup workshop for aspiring entrepreneurs who want to legally launch a business without endless waiting, guesswork, or overwhelm.

Designed with women-owned and BIPOC businesses in mind (but open to all), this 4-hour, in-person startup class provides the clarity, tools, and confidence needed to move from business idea to registered business in 1/2 a day.

What you’ll do in the room

This is not a lecture. You’ll actively work through the real steps of starting a business in Colorado, with expert guidance throughout.

You will:

✅ Vet and secure your business name
✅ Register your business entity with the Secretary of State
✅ Obtain your EIN from the IRS
✅ Navigate required state, city, and industry-specific business licenses
✅ Understand small business taxes, banking, and basic legal requirements
✅ Learn practical systems to manage operations efficiently
✅ Get marketing and networking basics for new businesses
✅ Leave with a personalized 30-day startup action plan

Bonus support

All participants receive a free follow-up session with Rachel and Laura of Profit Rebels, a small business consulting firm, to troubleshoot questions, refine next steps, and ensure your business launch stays on track.
