Oscillate's third exhibition of 2026 is STARTING POINTS, a collection of colourful & playful domestic & decorative pottery from the fingertips of Huddersfield artist Phil Russell.
Phil's adventures in ceramics started after a taster session at The Clay Mill. What followed was an all-consuming obsession with clay, and it's transformation from mud to art. Only now, after years of trial and error, have his conversations between fingertips and spinning earth culminated into a body of work.
Music by Phil's band Mudslingers, a loosely themed pottery trio singing offbeat songs about clay, animals and the human condition, will provide a soundtrack to the afternoon.
