About this Event
Led by Framework's Chief Executive and co-founder Emma Fleming-Ruse, come along to learn what starting a theatre company really looks like.
After starting Framework in 2018, pivoting to artist development in 2021 and securing Multi-Year Funding from Creative Scotland in 2025 - we'll chat through everything we know now, and what we wish we knew at the start of our company.
Throughout the day we will cover:
- What sort of company you should be
- Strategic thinking & finding your niche
- How you access funding
- What governance means and looks like
- Working with & employing people
- & what has made Framework the company it is today.
This workshop will take place in the Rehearsal Studio at the Lyceum Theatre in Edinburgh. It is free to attend, and we ask participants to attend the full day. The venue is fully accessible, and a short walk from Haymarket and Waverley Stations.
