So you think you’re “investor ready,” you’ve nailed your pitch and you’ve received that coveted offer for investment. What comes next? Join our legal sponsors and top national law firm, TLT LLP in this interactive workshop where they will give you a whistle-stop tour of the legal process before aiming to demystify the equity term sheet and all the legal jargon that comes with it.

Know your “pre-money” vs your “post-money” valuation; your “drag” from your “tag”; what it means to be “diluted” and how to avoid it, including in a “down round” which everybody in the VC world seems to be talking about. TLT will explain the importance of that balancing act between looking after your own interests vs the investor’s - the protections you should consider looking for as well as those things you might need to “give” or compromise on so there are no surprises later down the line.
