Star Wars: X-Wing World Open Qualifier, UK Games Expo 2022This is a three day event. With side events on Friday, swiss rounds for the main event being run on Saturday and top cut on a Sunday.
Winners of the tournament will have their flight and accommodation to the World Championships paid by Atomic Mass Games!!!

Main event information
Registration for the main event opens at 8am on Saturday and Sunday morning and closes at 9am sharp

Side events information
Side events run from 9am on Friday and Sunday. And after round 3 of the main event on Saturday.
On-Demand Side Events
Entry for On-Demand Side Events will be paid at the X-wing Judge and Sign-In Station.
All side events are in the Casual and Relaxed Tournament Tier.
Cost: £10 per person per Pod.
Once enough players to start a side event have signed up, their instance of the side event will begin.
Aces High Pods Rules
4-6 players can sign up for an Aces High pod and begin playing at any time. 1 Prize ticket will be awarded for participation and one for each win earned.
Players should bring 1 small base ship with a squad point value of 7 or less.
No deficit scoring will be applied.
List Building Format: EXTENDED
In order to play, each player will need to bring two Obstacles, one Hyperspace Marker, and one ship with a squad limitation listed above.
Pod Rules:
Play 2 games of 60 minutes.
Designate a timekeeper for the Pod .
After each game is complete, the winner should receive 1 additional prize ticket.
Game Play Rules
After Dials are set each turn, all players must perform a player order roll.

Hangar Bay Pods Rules
4,6,or 8 players can sign up for a Hangar Bay Pod.
Hangar Bay Pods are 3-game side events. 1 Prize ticket will be awarded for participation and one for each win earned.
Players should bring:
1-2 squads with a squad total of up to 20 points.
All obstacles and game pieces required to play.
List Building Format: EXTENDED
Pod Rules:
Games will end after 12 rounds of play or when the game timer runs out (whichever occurs first).
Play 3 games with a 75 minute timer.
Designate a timekeeper for the group.
Game Play Rules
Step 1: The timekeeper randomly selects a scenario order for the Pod by rolling an attack die and following the chart below.
Step 2: After players are paired up, each player places their list (via printout or cards) on the table.
If a player brought 2 lists, they should be clearly placed on the right and left side near their board edge.
Step 3 : After evaluating each other’s squads, both players secretly select which squad to field for this game by using a maneuver dial.
Rotate to a LEFT maneuver to select your squad on your left, or RIGHT maneuver to select your squad on your right. and then place your maneuver dial facedown.
Next, each player reveals their dial simultaneously, removing their unselected squad from the table.
Begin play with the assigned scenario and the squad remaining on the table.
After each game the winner should be awarded an additional prize ticket.
In the event of a tied score, each player will perform a “Player Order Roll.” The first player will then be considered the winner of the game.
X-wing Duos Rules
This event is in the Casual and Relaxed Tournament Tier.
'Day of' Registration is available for this event. See event staff!
Each game you will be paired with a RANDOM teammate!
Teammates will face off against another team on a 3’x3’ playmat.
Each game will be 90 minutes or 12 rounds of play (whichever comes first).
Players should bring:
2 or more ships with a squad total of 13 points.
2 obstacles and all game pieces required to play a normal game of X-wing.
List Building Format: Standard
Gameplay Rules:
Chance Engagement Scenario will be used for all Rounds.
After each game, the winners will be awarded an additional prize ticket.
In the event of a tie score, each player should perform a “Player Order Roll.” The first player will then be considered the winner of the game.
All friendly abilities work for you and your opponent regardless of teammate’s faction.
For the purposes of this event, the “Player Order” roll becomes a “Team Order” roll.
Follow all normal set up rules, replacing “Player” with “Team”.
Note: of the 8 obstacles available to place on the table, 2 will be unused
World Open Qualifier Warm Up Pods
4,6,or 8 players can sign up for a World Open Qualifier Warm Up Pod.
World Open Qualifier Warm Up Pods are 3-game side events that will follow the same rules as the Main Event at UK Games Expo 2022. Prize tickets will be awarded for participation and for each win earned.
Players should bring:
1 squad with a squad total of up to 20 points.
All obstacles and game pieces required to play.
List Building Format: STANDARD
Pod Rules:
Play 3 games, 75 minutes each.
Designate a timekeeper for the group.
Once selected the timekeeper will randomly select a scenario order for the Pod by rolling an attack die and following the chart below.

The game will end either after 12 rounds of play or when the game timer runs out (whichever comes first) .
After each game, the winner will be awarded an additional prize ticket.
In the event of a tied score, each player will perform a “Player Order Roll.” The first player will then be considered the winner of the game.
