Wij, Star-Club, zijn een nieuw initiatief in Amsterdam. Onze stad is namelijk uitgegroeid tot een gebied met een gebrek aan vrije ruimte. Wij zijn in ieder geval op zoek naar een ontmoetingsplek voor mensen zoals jij en ik.
Met een knipoog naar de jaren ‘60 club in Hamburg, verbindt het kollectief in het heden muzikanten, denkers en doeners om de Punk ‘n Roll cultuur levend te houden. Samen creëren we een hybride platform, bekritiseren we en laten we de stad trillen. Want ja mensen, there’s a whole lotta shakin’ going on..
Op 17 mei beginnen we met de eerste fysieke ontmoeting op Het Groene Veld/ADM Noord.

Patrol
Patrol is een nieuwe band uit Barcelona met leden van Les Lullies, Enamorados en Sizzler. Patrol is het resultaat van een aantal jaren samenwerken om de perfecte balans te vinden tussen riffs, pakkende nummers en energieke rock-'n-roll. Een mix van punk, hardrock uit de jaren 70 en een snufje pop. We houden net zoveel van nieuwe bands als Coffin en Steröid als van oude nummers als The Vibrators en Status Quo. Onze sets zijn luid, snel en recht op het punt af, zorg dat je het niet mist.
Frontsector
De Groningse band Frontsector ontstond in de begindagen van de pandemie en mengde de ruwe ingrediënten van punk, hardcore en een vleugje garage tot een zeer explosieve molotovcocktail. De vier geven ons punk zoals het ooit bedoeld was om gespeeld te worden: tegen de status quo, tegen het systeem en zonder meer akkoorden dan nodig.
The Covids
De band begon (je zou het niet raden) tijdens de eerste lockdown in Nederland, dus besloten ze de naam "The Covids" als ereteken te nemen. In het najaar van 2021 explodeerden ze eindelijk met vuur en woede op het podium. Hun liefde voor '77 punkrock en meer pop-georiënteerde stijlen resulteren in een uniek en onweerstaanbaar geluid: pakkend, rauw en energiek. In hun korte bestaan veroverde de band de Nederlandse underground scene en het festivalcircuit en toerde ook in Duitsland, Frankrijk, Spanje en het VK. Ze hebben verschillende digitale EP's + twee vinylsingles en een album uitgebracht op Wap Shoo Wap Records.
Ultra Goblin
Ultra Goblin is een nieuwe Haarlemse band die bestaat uit leden van het inmiddels ter ziele gegane Achterlicht, samen met leden van de Spurn en No Brains Utrecht crew. De nummers zijn kort en gemeen, met een dubbele gitaar, bas en synth muur van warble. Ondertussen klinkt de drummer alsof hij van de trap tuimelt, samen creëren ze een hard slaande garage-synthpunk puinhoop.
Voor als je van Coneheads, the Spits, The Mummies houdt.

We, Star-Club, are a new initiative in Amsterdam. Our city has grown into an area with a lack of free space. In any case, we are looking for a meeting place for people like you and me.
With a nod to the 60s club in Hamburg, the collective connects musicians, thinkers and doers in the present to keep the Punk ‘n Roll culture alive. Together we create a hybrid platform, criticize and make the city vibrate. Because yes people, there’s a whole lotta shakin’ going on..
On May 17th we start with the first physical meeting at Het Groene Veld/ADM Noord.

Patrol
Patrol is a new band from Barcelona featuring members of Les Lullies, Enamorados and Sizzler. Patrol is the result of some years of working together to find the perfect balance between riffs, catchy songs and high energy rock and roll. A mix of punk, 70s hard rock and a pinch of pop. We love new bands like Coffin and Steröid just as much as we feast upon old stuff like The Vibrators and Status Quo. Our sets are loud, fast and straight to the point, make sure you don´t miss it.
Frontsector
The Groningen-based band Frontsector emerged in the early days of the pandemic, blending the raw ingredients of punk, hardcore, and a touch of garage into a highly explosive Molotov cocktail. The four give us punk as it was once meant to be played: against the status quo, against the system and without more chords than necessary.
The Covids
The band started (you wouldn’t guess) during the first pandemic lockdown in The Netherlands, so they decided to take the name “The Covids” as a badge of honour. In the fall of 2021 they finally exploded onto the stage with fire and fury. Their love for ’77 punkrock and more pop-oriented styles result in a unique and irresistible sound: catchy, raw and energetic. In their short existence, the band took the Dutch underground scene and festival circuit by storm and has also toured in Germany, France, Spain and the UK. They’ve released several digital EP’s + two vinyl singles and an album on Wap Shoo Wap Records.
Ultra Goblin
Ultra Goblin is a new Haarlem band which consists of members from the now defunct Achterlicht, along with members from Spurn and No Brains Utrecht crew. Songs are short and nasty, wielding a dual guitar, bass and synth wall of warble. Meanwhile, the drummer sounds like he’s tumbling down the stairs, together creating a hard hitting garage-synthpunk mess.
