Stand Up Comedy: Writing, Performance, And the Biz
There is nothing more exhilarating than performing stand up comedy, it can be intimidating. More of a guide than a conventional class, this goal-oriented program will get you up there doing stand up for the first time. You will come out of this class with disciplined writing tools, informative personal feedback and important advice, as you begin your stand up comedy journey. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced in other walks of comedy life, this class is for you. Class culminates in a stand-up show, where students present their first 5 minutes of material.

How does this class work?
Open to all skill levels! This class will meet weekly for 4 Weeks along with a showcase for friends, family and the public at a local venue.

We Will Break For 1 Week on Independence Day Weekend 7/5
Meets once a week for two hours for 4 Weeks
Final Graduation Show will be determined with the group and venue.

Instructor Bio:
Jeff Quintana has been performing since 2003. He has trained and performed at some of the biggest comedy theaters including iO Chicago, The Magnet Theater, Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre NYC, The Peoples Improv Theater NYC, The Annoyance Theatre Chicago, Second City and more. Jeff has been an instructor for Annoyance Theatre, iO Theater, and the Playground Theatre in Chicago. He continues to work in Miami to create new and innovative theater through emotional vulnerability. Follow Your Fear and grow. He is the owner and Creative Director of Speak Easy Theater Co, JQ Comedy and Co Owner of The Coop Comedy.
